The ancients believed that the universe itself was governed by a divine harmony—what the Greeks called the Music of the Spheres. Pythagoras, whose teachings influenced Masonic thought, taught that mathematical ratios governed both music and the cosmos, revealing a hidden order in all things.

The ancient initiates understood this, using sound in rituals, prayers, and meditations to elevate consciousness.
Freemasonry itself embraces this concept—our words, our oaths, even the very names we speak in sacred moments carry resonance. When spoken with intention, they shape not only our Lodge but our very souls.
